Prof. Pnina Fishman, Ph.D.

Executive Chairperson, CSO

Prof. Fishman is the Scientific Founder of the Company and was previously a professor of Life Sciences and headed the Laboratory of Clinical and Tumor Immunology at the Felsenstein Medical Research Institute, Rabin Medical Center. Prof. Fishman is a very accomplished scientist and has authored or co-authored 170 publications and presented the findings of her research at many major scientific meetings. Her scientific work was the foundation on which Can-Fite was built. This scientific work has gained recognition as one of the leading approaches for next-generation therapies for cancer and other diseases. Her past managerial experience included seven years as CEO of Mor Research Application (MRA), a company that was in charge of the commercialization of intellectual property from all hospitals and research centers of Clalit Health Services, the largest healthcare provider in Israel, and was also the first CRO in Israel. She was also involved in the establishment and served on the Board of Directors of several life sciences technology startups.

Guy Regev

Mr. Regev has over thirteen years of experience in accounting, financial management and control and general management of commercial enterprises. He has served on Can-Fite's Board of Directors since July 2011 and has served as a member of the Audit Committee and Compensation Committee since February 2014. Mr. Regev is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Gaon Holdings Ltd, a publicly traded Israeli holding company traded on the TASE which focuses on three areas of operation - Cleantech / Water, Financial Services, Retail/Trading. Mr. Regev is currently also the Chief Executive Officer of Middle East Tube Company Ltd a publicly traded Israeli company traded on the TASE which focuses on steel pipe manufacturing and galvanization services. Mr. Regev was the Chief Executive Officer of Shaked Global Group Ltd, a privately-held equity investment firm that provides value-added capital to environmental-related companies and technologies. Prior to joining Shaked, from 2001 to 2008, Mr. Regev was Vice President of Commercial Business at Housing & Construction Holding, or HCH, Israel's largest infrastructure company. Mr. Regev holds an LLB degree in Law (Israel) and is a licensed attorney and has been a licensed CPA since 1999.

Yossi Bornstein

During the past 35 years, Mr. Bornstein has played key roles in the Israeli biomed industry. He was the General Manager of Bristol-Myers Squibb (Israel). Mr. Bornstein is the CEO and the founder of Shizim group, a life science holding company. He is the Founder of ShizimXL, international Medical Devices & ShizimVS, Digital Health innovation centers. He is the Chairman of GCP Clinical Studies Ltd., one of the top providers of clinical research services and educational programs in Israel. He served as the Biotechnology Committee Chairman of the United States-Israel Science & Technology Commission (the "USISTC”). Mr. Bornstein is the founder of ILSI - Israel Life Science Industry Organization and Founder of ITTN - Israel Tech Transfer Organization. He is a Co-Founder and Director of Microbot Medical (NASDAQ: MBOT).

Abraham Sartani, M.D.

Abraham Sartani has served on our Board of Directors since 2001. Dr. Sartani has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceuticals industry and currently acts as a consultant to pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Dr. Sartani is a member of a number of scientific and management societies and the author or co-author of numerous publications and patents in the urology, pain treatment and hypertension fields. Dr. Sartani previously served on the Board of Directors of Akkadeas Pharma Srl (formerly Arkadia Pharma) and was a co-founder. From 1985 until 2008, Dr. Sartani was the Vice-President of R&D and Licensing and Group coordinator of B&D of Recordati, a European specialty pharmaceutical company. Prior to joining Recordati, from 1980 until 1985, Dr. Sartani was employed at Farmitalia-Carlo Erba, serving in a number of capacities, including as the Medical Director for Europe. Currently, Dr. Sartani is a member of the board of directors of BLV Pharma Group Srl, a privately owned Italian food supplements company.
