Pnina Fishman, Ph.D.

Prof. Fishman is the Scientific Founder of the Company and was previously a professor of Life Sciences and headed the Laboratory of Clinical and Tumor Immunology at the Felsenstein Medical Research Institute, Rabin Medical Center. Prof. Fishman is a very accomplished scientist and has authored or co-authored 170 publications and presented the findings of her research at many major scientific meetings.
Her scientific work was the foundation on which Can-Fite was built. This scientific work has gained recognition as one of the leading approaches for next-generation therapies for cancer and other diseases.
Her past managerial experience included seven years as CEO of Mor Research Application (MRA), a company that was in charge of the commercialization of intellectual property from all hospitals and research centers of Clalit Health Services, the largest healthcare provider in Israel, and was also the first CRO in Israel. She was also involved in the establishment and served on the Board of Directors of several life sciences technology start-ups.

Mr. Farbstein's past managerial experience includes seven years as Vice President of Mor Research Application, a company that managed the commercialization of the intellectual property of all hospitals and research centers affiliated with Clalit Health Services, the largest healthcare provider in Israel and Israel's first CRO. He has extensive experience in the data management of clinical trials.
Sari Fishman, Ph.D.Vice President of Business Development
Dr. Fishman has fifteen years of combined experience in the biotechnology industry including ten years of employment as a Director of Clinical Trials in the fields of oncology, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis & ophthalmology and five years as a VP of Business Development in charge of deal sourcing, scientific assessments, term sheets, and contract negotiations.
Dr. Fishman has the highest level of confidence and engagement skills, supported by strong commercial instinct and the capability to champion Can-Fite as an evolving and innovative biotech company. She is responsible for growing and securing external funding through partnering with strategic pharmaceutical companies. She has established external high-level relationships and is well networked within the pharma industry. Dr. Fishman's proven business development experience within the biotech industry, her deep knowledge of biological therapeutics including pre-clinical and clinical drug development, together with her experience of scouting for partnerships including both academic and commercial, have translated into the successful conclusion of seven licensing deals with leading pharmaceutical companies worldwide.
